EATucation's food literacy program significantly improves food & environmental literacy among New Zealand's youth, leading to better health outcomes, increased environmental consciousness, and stronger food industry skills.

We will achieve this through the following pathway.

💡 Actions & Inputs 

  1. Development and implementation of an innovative Online Learning Platform
  2. Creation of curriculum-aligned and stakeholder-informed teaching resources
  3. Partnerships with tertiary institutions for research and development
  4. Partner with pilot schools, trial & refine resources, launch program Term 1 of 2025


🔬 Outputs

  1. Food literacy curriculum covering 12 key dimensions of Food Literacy Framework
  2. Tested and delivered accessible Online Learning Platform for students and teachers
  3. Evidence-based resources that utilise the breadth & depth of food-related topics
  4. Trained teachers are equipped and excited to deliver EATucation resources 
  5. Robust data collection and analysis system to inform health & education policy
